Adaptation group for children
Our adaptation group for children aged 4 to 6, which ran from January to July 2024, has completed its work this season. It was an exciting six months for 12 little visitors, filled with new knowledge, friendship and bright emotions.
Two tutors, a Ukrainian and a Czech, worked with the group, which helped the children feel comfortable. The children knew that at any time they could address the teacher in their native language and develop their knowledge of Czech with a native speaker. This will make it much easier for them to use Czech language in schools and communication with their peers.
By re-launching the integration group for the youngest children, we aimed to create a favorable environment that would help the children adapt to life in the Czech Republic, prepare for school and acquire the necessary skills for further successful studies in a new country.
The programme included a wide range of activities, including school preparation, Czech language classes, creative workshops, psychological sessions and pet therapy. This diversity allowed the children to develop in different directions, find new interests and develop a positive attitude towards learning.
One of the features of our programme was a one-week trial period, during which each child had the opportunity to gradually get used to the new environment. This allowed our team to better understand the needs of each child and adapt the programme to meet those needs. We are proud to say that during this time we managed to create a real children's team where every child felt comfortable and protected.
Thanks to the efforts of our team and the support of their parents, the children successfully completed all stages of the programme. They learnt to interact with their peers and mastered the basic skills for future studies in Czech schools.
We are sincerely grateful to the parents for their trust and cooperation. The end of the adaptation group is not the end, but only the beginning of new opportunities for our young graduates. We are confident that this experience will become a solid foundation for their further development and success in school.
