Throughout August, we held intensive Czech language courses at our centre so that refugee children could go to local schools and kindergartens for the first time and feel more at ease. 

5 times a week, 4 groups of students studied the new language diligently. The classes were held in two age groups: 6-12-year-olds and 12-16-year-olds.

This allowed the children to acquire basic knowledge of the Czech language. This course allowed the students to understand the material in school, find common ground with their peers and overcome the language barrier.
